The Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Hult Prize Foundation (HPF), which hosts an annual competition for ideas addressing pressing social issues and is often called the Nobel Prize for students, have agreed to work together to foster a stronger tradition of social entrepreneurship among Pakistan’s youth.
The Letter of Intent was signed in a virtual ceremony by HEC’s Director General of Research and Innovation Hazrat Bilal and Lori Van Dan, CEO of the Hult Prize Foundation.
Under the LoI, the partners will give young people a chance to learn about social entrepreneurship by giving them a place to launch new initiatives that will have a beneficial global impact. Together, we can help students at Pakistani institutions grow as individuals and as leaders while also spreading the word about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
HEC and Hult Foundation have amazing collaboration
It is worth noting that every year, the Hult Prize Foundation holds the largest competition in the world for innovative company concepts that seek to solve a societal issue. In the past, several Pakistani students have competed in and even won the Hult Prize Foundation’s yearly competition. All of Pakistan’s educational institutions would be able to benefit from this partnership.
Director General Hazrat Bilal predicted that the partnership would provide students at Pakistani colleges with a unique learning experience while also addressing societal concerns in the country as a whole through the promotion of enterprise growth and entrepreneurship.
After the United States, Pakistan is home to the second-largest HPF community around the world, as well as regular participants in nearly every Hult Prize round. She stressed again that the partnership will be beneficial to the development of Pakistan’s entrepreneurial spirit.
The winner of HPF’s yearly competition receives US$1 million in financing to develop their big idea through a series of rounds and a rigorous process.
