When Google first announced the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro a few months ago, it only teased photos of the devices and confirmed the inclusion of the second-generation Tensor SoC.
Using a caliper, Louis took some measurements of the hardware. For comparison, the Google Pixel 6 Pro measures 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm; the Pixel 7 Pro is roughly the same size, but slightly narrower at 73.2mm wide and 0.1mm thicker. At the camera bar, both Pro phones have the same thickness of 11.5mm.
The Pixel 7 is slightly shorter and narrower than the Pixel 6. For reference, the Pixel 6 measures 158.6mm in length. Furthermore, while the Pixel 6 measures 14.9 mm across, the Pixel 7 measures 13.2 mm.
The Pixel 7 Pro appears to have less aggressive edge display tapering, and its camera bar and chassis have a polished finish, whereas the Pixel 7 has an anodized aluminum look.
We also notice that these models lack the two-tone finishes found on the Pixel 6 lineup. Perhaps this is due to the fact that they are prototype hardware.
According to previous rumors, the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will be available for pre-order on October 6, with general availability on October 13. Google has agreed to recognize these dates, so they may change.
