As MD, Muntaqa will oversee Foodpanda‘s entire operations in the nation, as well as its development and expansion, as well as the introduction of new verticals.
He takes over as CEO after serving as Commercial Director at foodpanda Pakistan for two and a half years, where he helped develop the company into a household name in Pakistan.
Throughout his time at foodpanda, he was in control of the company’s core food delivery operation, with a focus on promoting foodpanda as the preferred platform for participating businesses, consumers, and riders.
He also founded new verticals such as cloud kitchens and pandago, as well as foodpanda’s Logistics-as-a-Service vertical, which provides speedy, on-demand delivery, and increased the foodpanda Home Chefs program to over 10,000 registered home-based firms today.
Muntaqa brings to the table his expertise leading teams in high-growth IT organizations in Pakistan and abroad, as well as his understanding of emerging markets, strategy, growth, commercial innovation, and business/profitability turnarounds.
“Muntaqa has been a vital part of foodpanda’s growth path in recent years, and I’m convinced that under his guidance, foodpanda will continue to spread across Pakistan and reach new milestones in the years ahead,” said Jakob Angele, CEO of foodpanda Asia.
“I’m honored to take up the mantle as MD of foodpanda Pakistan,” Muntaqa Peracha stated.
“I thank the foodpanda leadership team for their trust, and look forward to leading the team to grow our footprint in Pakistan, and better serve our community of riders, merchants, and customers across the country.”
