FIA Clarifies Only Passengers With Incomplete Documents Being Stopped

The Federal Investigation Agency has moved to calm rising concerns after rumours claimed passengers were being removed from flights at Lahore airport. Officials stressed that no such practice is happening, and travellers with proper documents face no issues. They explained that their teams help people with legal papers and only intervene when something important is missing. This message aims to restore trust among worried travellers today.

Statement From Senior Officials

FIA Lahore Zone Director Captain Ali Zia explained that immigration officers cannot stop people who hold legal and complete travel papers. He said the authority works to guide passengers and ensure smooth departures. However, he added that those with incomplete information must be checked for their own safety. His words were meant to clear the confusion spreading across many online platforms recently.

Concerns About Misinformation

The FIA expressed worry about false news being shared on social media. They said this misinformation creates fear and unrest, especially among families preparing to travel. Officials urged the public to rely on verified sources and avoid believing unconfirmed claims. They added that some passengers attempt illegal travel methods, which leads to extra checks. Their priority remains the protection of every person leaving the country.

Issues Linked To Illegal Travel

According to the agency, some individuals try to use women as shields to slip through controls, while others carry documents from fake foreign companies. These cases raise red flags during profiling. The FIA emphasised that such dishonest actions put people in danger and must be stopped. Their teams aim to identify these attempts while keeping lawful travellers safe from unnecessary trouble at immigration counters.

Government Crackdown On Human Smuggling

This clarification comes as the government strengthens its fight against human smuggling following several tragic sea incidents. Many Pakistanis lost their lives while trying to reach other countries through unsafe routes. These heartbreaking events pushed the authorities to adopt stricter measures. The government wants to prevent more families from suffering and ensure people choose safe and legal paths for travel instead.

Religious Edict Against Illegal Travel

Adding to these efforts, Lahore’s Jamia Naeemia issued a religious ruling declaring illegal travel methods forbidden. Scholars said such actions violate both national law and Shariah. They warned that agents taking money for dangerous routes commit a serious wrong. Their message encourages people to trust lawful processes. They also urged the government to take firm action against those exploiting innocent citizens.

Warning For Agents And Middlemen

The decree advised that no agent should promise unsafe foreign travel in exchange for money. It called on the authorities to introduce stronger laws to punish such behaviour. Religious leaders explained that protecting human life is a duty, and misleading travellers is a grave offence. Their guidance aims to stop people from trusting the wrong channels and falling into risky situations while seeking better opportunities.

Rising Asylum Figures Abroad

Recent data from the United Kingdom shows Pakistanis forming the highest group of asylum applicants this year. Many seek better chances but choose unsafe or illegal ways to leave. Officials believe this trend highlights the need for awareness and lawful procedures. By clarifying their stance, the FIA hopes travellers will act wisely, avoid harmful routes, and trust proper documents to reach their destinations safely.
