Etisalat has been named the world’s powerful telecom brand by Brand Finance, the world’s premier brand valuation authority, and is the first in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) area to get this honor.
Etisalat preserved its AAA brand grade as well as its position in MEA as the powerful telecom brand across all categories and the most valuable brand portfolio, with a telecom portfolio worth well over US$ 12.5 billion.

Eng. Hatem Dowidar was also named to Brand Finance’s Global Elite List of Brand Guardians, jumping four places from last year’s rating. This award honors the ground-breaking initiatives he has implemented since joining Etisalat in September 2015, which have played a critical role in the company’s growth.
Following the COVID-19 epidemic, he assumed the job of Group CEO in 2020 and guided the company’s expansion through the rapidly changing telecom and technology market. His effective brand stewardship laid the groundwork for Etisalat’s improved brand perception and staff engagement.
