A new electric vehicle (EV) prototype was presented recently by Team Envision of PNEC-NUST. The newest version of their incredibly eco-friendly Evo-X automobiles is an electric vehicle.
A group of undergraduate engineering students came up with the idea for Team Envision in 2009 and developed a plan to address the problem of global warming.
The new EV is said to be powered by a 500-watt BLDC electric motor, per the specifications. It has body-on-frame construction, where the mild steel chassis supports a carbon fiber and fiberglass body. Only 0.21 is the drag coefficient for the EV.
The squad has taken part in practically every Shell Eco-Marathon since it began. This competition has hundreds of teams from over 60 nations and is a premier worldwide venue for colleges and educational institutions to display and compete with fuel-efficient vehicles.
The team made history by representing Pakistan on a global platform and by becoming the only Asian team to win three communication awards, three technical innovation awards, and other distinctions.
Now, Evo-X will take part in the 2023 Shell Eco-Marathon Asia. This car will participate in the category of battery-powered prototypes. The squad is determined to win the next tournament and once again represent the nation with pride on the world stage. They are extremely motivated and committed to doing so.
