Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) said on Sunday that its partnership with Turkish Airlines has brought in Rs 2.14 billion, according to Khawaja Saad Rafique, Federal Minister for Aviation and Railway.
“That’s accurate. The collaboration has been excellent. According to PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez Khan, “We have frequently been able to completely load our planes.
Through the codesharing agreement between PIA and Turkish Airlines, PIA has access to twenty-eight destinations via the hub of its partner airline in Istanbul. These twenty-eight locations are all in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. The method is now a way for PIA to keep routes that had been cut off after the issue with the phoney degree.
“We give the passengers a PIA ticket, drive them to Istanbul, and in three hours, we put them on a Turkish Airlines aircraft headed in the direction of their preferred destination. That is how the two businesses are partnered, said Khan.
An airline sets its designator code on a flight that is being operated by another airline and then sells tickets for that flight. This arrangement is known as a marketing agreement in the world of aviation. Code-share agreements are created by airlines all over the world to improve or increase their market presence and capacity for competition.
