Ignite-National Technology Fund has asked exceptional teams to apply for the Clean Tech 2022 Innovation Challenge, which aims to use fourth industrial wave technology to address Pakistan’s rising energy concerns.
Load forecasting, demand management, yield optimization, predictive management, energy theft, smog reduction, pollution control, and customer/consumer intelligence are among the problems presented.
Ignite will award three outstanding inventive ideas to help bring the vision to life and ensure that it has a long-term, significant impact. The top reward is 500,000 rupees, the second prize is 300,000 rupees, and the third prize is 200,000 rupees.
This challenge is available to men and women who are interested in technology and innovation and have viable development ideas that fall within the scope of the specified subjects.
While there is no application cost or age limit, applicants under the age of 18 must give their NADRA B-forms’ CNIC numbers. Every team, however, must be gender-balanced, with a maximum of four members, and teams with a majority of women are strongly urged to register.
This challenge, according to Ignite, will bring together students, researchers, faculty, and experts in the fields of energy generation and management to reduce cost and emissions, energy consumption, usage patterns, load forecasting, and renewable energy sources to solve the country’s problems using cutting-edge technology.
Cleantech solutions involving wind, sunshine, biomass, and water will be of great interest. Data sets will be collected from open databases such as Knoema, Harvard, and the World Bank, among others, and state-of-the-art AI/ML and Big Data techniques will be used to tackle real-world problems.
The deadline to register for the competition is February 28th, and teams will be notified of their suggested ideas’ selection by March 15th. The deadline for submitting a functioning solution is May 10th.
