Chinese carmaker Changan Automobile introduced the concept car CD701 as the first vehicle model under its new brand Zhuge Intelligence.
The CD701 is Changan Automobile’s first vehicle constructed on SDA architecture, according to Zhu Huarong, chairman of the company.
The car demonstrates Changan’s commitment to offering a thorough travel experience improved by cutting-edge technology.
Although the interior looks like it belongs in a Sci-Fi film, the pickup and SUV designs maintain a minimalist aesthetic.
The C-shaped light cluster includes distinct stripes in the middle, five-spoke wheels that slide backward on the sides, and standard taillights with adjustable ambient lighting on the back.
The vehicle’s low wind resistance wheels and streamlined external mirrors, together with other design elements intended to give it a sleek and economical design in terms of look and energy usage, reduce wind resistance.
The car, however, lacks an instrument panel. Although it may have a heads-up display (HUD) design, the core control area has a sizable screen.
Once mass manufacturing of the car starts, some alterations are anticipated. Finally, eco-friendly materials are used in seat backs and other interior components.
The business declared that it would concentrate on the SDA architecture going forward in early 2022.
Within the next five years, the firm plans to introduce more than 20 new intelligent electric vehicles, and in the following three years, 11 new models, including coupes, SUVs, and MPVs, will be available.
“We will focus on intelligent products, manufacturing, and management. We are firmly transforming into an intelligent low-carbon mobility technology company. By 2025, we will have successively launched more than 30 new intelligent network-connected products.” Zhu Huarong also discussed his perspectives on the car business and his objectives for the company’s future growth.
