Hyundai Nishat Motors Private Limited (HNMPL) has resumed car bookings, but there is a catch for customers.
According to a report, dealerships will only accept orders if the customers sign an agreement committing them to pay new rates for their vehicles in the event of a pre-delivery price increase.
The notification instructed dealerships to share the original agreement documents, as well as a copy of the Provisional Booking Order (PBO), with the company, while keeping one copy of the agreement for themselves.
This will allow HNMPL to avoid any rash actions from customers as a result of a price increase.
Kia, Toyota, and Proton have all delayed bookings for their vehicles in recent weeks. Bookings will open in the second week of June, according to Toyota and Proton outlets, but Kia declined to provide a resume date.
According to unofficial reports, all automakers are preparing to raise the pricing of their vehicles following the presentation of the fiscal budget for 2022-23, which is also expected soon. To add insult to injury, Hyundai Nishat Motors Private Limited (HNMPL) has just announced that yet another round of price increases is on the way.
