In the first three months of 2023, BMW Group (BMW and Mini) sales in the United States were 89,750 units (up 11 percent year-over-year).
The total sales of the car totaled 82,466 in 2016, an increase of 12% from the previous year.

The company claims that over 17 percent, or about 14,000 units, of their total sales were of plug-in vehicles. About 9 percent, or 7,400, of those would be PHEVs.

In addition, there are the XM, the BMW 330e, the BMW 530e, and the X5 xDrive45e, all of which have “just begun arriving in dealerships.”
The BMW iX sales figure for the first quarter was 2,351, but the manufacturer did not disclose any other numbers (other plug-in models are counted together with non-rechargeable versions). Total iX sales surpassed 8,000 units.
The company’s North America President and CEO Sebastian Mackensen said:
“We are pleased to inform that the 2022 surge has continued throughout the first few months of 2023. We expect the demand for our all-electric vehicles to increase as our product line grows. Meanwhile, we’ll keep providing the broad selection of powertrain options that American buyers demand. We have a lot of exciting things coming out this year, including our electric and hybrid vehicles, Sports Activity Vehicles made in the United States, great sedans, and new products from BMW M.
The Mini brand, including the plug-in hybrid Cooper S E Countryman ALL4 and the fully electric Mini CooperSE, is also available, although sales data for these models is unavailable.
