Alex Hales, the main batsman for Islamabad United, will not play in the forthcoming match against Peshawar Zalmi on Monday.
The England player was forced to miss this match due to a prior personal commitment that conflicted with the scheduled game, it has been revealed.
The team is temporarily handicapped by this absence as they get ready to take on a strong opponent without one of their best players.
Fans can, however, be comforted in the fact that Hales is expected to return to the team for the next games, with his comeback scheduled for the tournament’s second leg in Karachi.
Expectations are high for him because of his crucial contribution to bolstering United’s batting lineup.
Currently ranked third on the points table, Islamabad United is navigating the difficulties of the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League.
With one win in three games, the squad is still in the running and ready to take advantage of future chances to move up the standings.
