Samsung’s foldables are more than happy to fill a phablet-sized hole in the company’s annual release schedule even though the days of the Galaxy Note Unpacked events are sadly over.
We anticipate that the most recent additions to the Fold and Flip lines will be available in the coming weeks because the company has kept its promise to fully commit to the form factor over the past couple of years.
Samsung released an official invitation for its late-summer Unpacked event, reaffirming the virtual event’s August 10 date. The major announcements have likely already been leaked because this is a Samsung event.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 as well as the Galaxy Watch 5 are the main topics of the big news, as was to be expected.
According to reports, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip and a few new colour options are included in both foldables.
Meanwhile, the new Galaxy Watch represents Samsung’s most recent Wear OS collaboration. That one is definitely worth watching as Google starts a newfound push for the wearable operating system in preparation for the fall launch of the Pixel Watch.
Samsung, meanwhile, is releasing its extremely early pre-show product reserve even earlier this year.
