The MagSafe Battery Pack has received a new update from Apple that improves its charging performance. This battery pack will now be able to charge your iPhone phones wirelessly at a speed of 7.5W, up from 5W before the update.
The iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models are compatible with the MagSafe Battery Pack. According to the business, depending on the iPhone model, it can deliver up to a 70% boost in battery life.
You can use the MagSafe Battery Pack to get the latest firmware version 2.7 update for your iPhones. It will update automatically, but Apple claims it could take up to a week to complete.
You can also acquire this update by connecting the battery pack to a Mac or iPad through a Lightning to USB connector, which will take roughly 5 minutes.
Finally, navigate to Settings > General > About > MagSafe Battery Pack on your iPhone to check the status of the update.
In similar news, Apple is rumored to be working on a 35W dual-port USB Type-C power converter that can charge two iPhone devices or accessories at the same time.
There’s no word on whether or not Apple will distribute this charger. However, according to industry expert Ming-Chi Kuo, the Cupertino Company could begin mass production of this 35W dual-port USB Type-C power converter in 2022.
This year, it is expected to ship between 2 and 3 million devices. This charger may be delivered alongside a new MagSafe Duo, according to rumors. The adapter may not come with a USB cord, as is customary for Apple.
