While the iPhone SE portfolio is small, it comprises some of Apple’s cheapest iPhones with the most up-to-date hardware and software. According to rumours, Apple will release a new iPhone SE model in the spring of this year.
The rumour comes from MacOtakara, a Japanese tech blog dedicated to Apple news. According to the blog, the new iPhone SE will be released alongside the fifth-generation iPad Air.
The story even goes on to say that the iPad Air will be equipped with Apple’s fastest SoC for handsets, the A15 Bionic. Center Stage support will be available for the 12MP ultrawide front-facing camera, which maintains you in the picture while you move around. Some variants will include 5G connectivity as well as a quad-LED True Tone flash.
It will look identical to its predecessor in terms of design. A 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with thin bezels and a Touch ID button on the bottom will be used. Space Gray, Silver Green, Rose Gold, and Sky Blue will be the only colour selections available.
The redesigned iPad Air and iPhone SE are planned to be released in the second quarter of 2022 (April–June).
