Apple’s long-awaited self-driving electric car made news a few months ago, and now the company’s upcoming vehicle, which has yet to be publicly announced, is making headlines again, implying that the Apple Car roadmap is on the way.
According to people acquainted with the development, the future Apple Car — an electric car with support for a completely autonomous self-driving capability — will debut by 2025.
According to sources, Apple’s Project Titan, led by Kevin Lynch and based in Cupertino, will be a fully automated self-driving vehicle with no steering wheel or pedals.
The business was previously thought to be trapped between two development paths: a standard EV with some updated driver-assist systems, or a more advanced EV capable of completely autonomous driving with no input from its passengers. However, it looks that the technology behemoth has chosen the latter option.
