An agreement was signed on Monday as part of an initiative to prepare Pakistani students for admission to world-class higher education institutions.
Pearson Education Limited and Cornerstone School & College Global Campus, Lahore, (CSCG) signed an agreement to provide Pearson Edexcel complete suites of qualifications to students from early years to A level at the CSCG campus.
The agreement was signed on Monday during a ceremony in Lahore. Ms. Kathryn Booth, Director of Pearson Schools Qualifications, Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan, and Turkey, and Ms. Wajeeha Raoof, Director Cornerstone Schools, signed the agreement. Senior officials from organizations, academicians, and visiting students were also present.
According to the terms of the agreement, Pearson and Cornerstone Schools will continue to collaborate on Pearson Edexcel exams, supporting resources, and professional development courses at the Global Campus in Lahore.
The agreement calls for Pearson to provide unparalleled data analysis and exam support tools, as well as PD teacher training and resource support, at the CSCG campus.
The CSCG campus, on the other hand, will provide students with all Pearson qualifications, including Early Years, International GCSE, and A level exams, as well as support Pearson’s qualifications monitoring process and introduce the programs at all campuses and branches.
Kathryn Booth praised Cornerstone Schools’ leadership for their ongoing collaboration with Pearson over the course of their seven-year partnership.
She emphasized the importance of Pearson Edexcel qualifications, stating that students at the Cornerstone global campus will have a rich opportunity to equip themselves with critical skills that will enable them to succeed in future education and the workplace.
Following the ceremony, a question-and-answer session was held, during which the audience asked a number of questions about the collaboration and its future prospects.
