Earlier on Monday, Apple Services such as iCloud, Apple Music, iMessage, and many others were made available globally. However, everything appeared to be alright on the company’s official system status website.
The outage appeared to affect all Apple services available to consumers, including TV+, News+, Apple Music, FaceTime, Find My, and iCloud Private Relay.
Apple’s system status website later verified that the problem was mostly affecting iMessage, some Apple Maps services, iCloud Mail, iCloud Keychain, the App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, and Podcasts.
Users took to Twitter, Reddit, and other social media platforms to seek assistance and to express their dissatisfaction. Some customers complained on Downdetector that they were experiencing a complete outage. Others, on the other hand, stated that the services were especially slow.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s corporate and retail systems were also experiencing outages, causing business disruptions.
Another tweet noted that many Apple staff had to rely on the old-fashioned approach of taking notes with a pen and paper.
WhatsAppBetaInfo confirmed that the issue affected numerous other Apple services as well.
Apple’s developer status page was also reported to be down at one time due to the outage. After two hours of downtime, the problems were resolved. However, the corporation did not disclose the root cause of the problem.
