On June 21, 2022, a visiting delegation of ITC executives from Pakistan attended a networking event set up by the Pakistan Consulate General in Toronto.
More than 50 executives and business owners from ITC firms in Toronto attended the event, including members of the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs (OPEN) and the FAST-NU Alumni Association, North America (FAA-NA).
In order to attend Collision Toronto Conference 2022, one of the major tech events worldwide, especially in North America, the Pakistani delegation, which consists of 15 executives from top ITC businesses, is in Toronto at the Consulate General’s invitation.
In his remarks, Consul General Abdul Hameed urged the Pakistani ITC business owners to concentrate more on the Canadian market because the ITC industry in that country had been growing at a faster rate than the overall economy.
He claimed that the ITC industry was well-positioned to gain from the resurgence of the entire economy.
He pointed out that the rapid adoption of numerous technological solutions, as well as private and public investments in digital infrastructure, was expected to have an impact on demand.
The ITC executives were grateful for the Consulate General’s efforts in setting up the networking event and facilitating the visit of the delegation from Pakistan.
The Pakistani speakers, among other things, emphasized the function and initiatives of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) in enhancing Pakistan’s overall policy environment and ITC infrastructure.
They pointed out that the Pakistani ITC sector has a lot to offer Canadian businesses, including a sizable and competent young population, supportive government policies, and an advanced IT infrastructure.
The top ITC representatives from Canada highlighted their goals and initiatives for supporting Pakistani entrepreneurs.
They stressed the necessity for businesses to keep an eye on the most recent market trends and create a system for promptly adapting to changing environments.
The Canadian businesses also showed a strong desire to partner with Pakistani firms engaged in the fields of health technology, startups, fintech, games, and animation.
