Samsung’s smartphones, as well as its Exynos chipsets, have been plagued by interminable delays. The Galaxy S21 FE was expected to be released in 2021, but it was just announced this month. The Exynos 2200, the company’s first Exynos x AMD chipset, has also been delayed yet again.
The Exynos 2200 was intended to be released in 2021, but it was pushed back to January 11, 2022. However, it looks that the launch has been postponed once more, and the company’s official Twitter account has also deleted the initial tweet that identified the January 11 date.
Samsung will launch the Galaxy S22 series on February 8th, with sales slated to begin on February 24th. Last year, Samsung unveiled the Exynos 2100 two days before the Galaxy S21 lineup, thus the Exynos 2200 for the next S22 lineup still has time to be revealed.
In any event, such last-minute alterations show that there is a problem at Samsung. In November of last year, Samsung was scheduled to debut the Exynos 1200, a mid-range chipset. The chip was discovered in benchmarking with the Galaxy M33 5G, but no information on the phone or the chipset has been released as of yet.
The only reason for these delays could be due to a global chip scarcity. Is the Exynos 2200 going to arrive in time for the Galaxy S22? In truth, the most pressing question is how many Galaxy S22 units will be available at launch. Will there be a major supply shortage when the game launches? Only time will tell if this is true.
