The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) of Dubai reports that international student enrollment in the emirate’s universities has increased by 8% annually.
Almost a third of all students in Dubai’s universities are from outside the country, up from almost a quarter in 2010.
KHDA has released an infographic showing that more than 30,000 people are enrolled in college classes. The infographic also included specifics on the emirate’s research fields, as well as its students, teachers, programs, and worldwide higher education providers.
It has also come to light that more than 80% of recent graduates have secured employment or continued their education.
Business, engineering, and IT degrees have been consistently ranked as the most popular among both Emiratis and foreigners, leading to a 21% growth in the number of programs offered by international universities over the past three academic years. Students with disabilities, meanwhile, lean toward majors like commerce, media, and information technology.
Most of the students in Dubai are perusing undergrad degree
The most up-to-date data also shows that the vast majority of students (60%), although only 30%, are enrolled in undergraduate programs, while only 2% are enrolled in graduate or doctoral programs. Most students (about 80%) are enrolled in classes full-time.
Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, Director General of KHDA, claims that the emirate of Dubai is rapidly becoming a global center for higher learning. He claimed that more and more students are enrolling because there are so many international campuses and options for study.
