On Thursday, Zimbabwe beat Pakistan by 1 run in a thrilling T20 World Cup 2022 match.
Zimbabwe scored 130/8 after winning the toss and electing to bat. Shan Masood led the way with 44 off 38 balls, but Pakistan fell short in the end, failing to score the three runs needed to win in the final ball of the match.
With 3/25, Sikandar Raza was Zimbabwe’s most successful bowler, while Brad Evans took two wickets for 25 runs.
Zim defeated Pak in a thrilling finish in its second T20 World Cup 2022 match on Thursday at the Optus Stadium in Australia, moving the team to third place in Group B.
At the Sydney Cricket Ground, three Group B matches were played today, with South Africa defeating Bangladesh by 104 runs in the first game and India defeating the Netherlands by 56 runs in the second.
With two matches completed, India leads the points table with four points and a healthy run rate of +1.425, South Africa is second with a run rate of +5.200, and Zimbabwe is third with a run rate of +0.050.
It is worth noting that Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will play each other in the first match on Sunday, October 30 in Brisbane, while Pak will play the Netherlands in the second game of the day at Optus Stadium in Perth.
