The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R has sold over 30 lakh units, setting a new record. Tallboy hatchbacks were first introduced in 1999 and have since spawned three generations in India.
Wagon R Record Sales
The Maruti Wagon R is currently offered in four trim levels: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus. Superior White, Silky Silver, Magma Grey, Gallant Red, Nutmeg Brown, Poolside Blue, Midnight Black, Gallant Red with Midnight Black roof, and Magma Grey with Midnight Black roof are the available colors for the hatchback.
The 2023 Maruti Wagon R is powered by 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre K series petrol engines with idle start-stop functionality.
These engines are paired with either a five-speed manual transmission or an AMT transmission. Customers can also get the CNG version in 1.0-litre variants, known as the Wagon R S-CNG.
