Toyota has released a unique limited edition GR86 called the 40th Anniversary Limited to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the famous Toyota Corolla AE86’s release in 1983.
40th Anniversary Limited Edition
Only 200 units of this rare model will be made for the Japanese market, with prospective buyers need to enter a lottery to be eligible to purchase one.
Colours that stand out and homage decals
Based on the current RZ grade, the GR86 40th Anniversary Limited comes in two eye-catching colours: Spark Red or Crystal White Pearl.
Both versions have one-of-a-kind decals that pay homage to the legendary AE86’s red/black and white/black two-tone themes.
Interior Design Elements
Inside the cabin, occupants will notice a particular touch in the form of embroidered ‘Since 1983 40th’ writing on the interior door trims and floor mats.
Variations in Pricing
The commemorative model is offered in two gearbox options: a 6-speed manual version for 3.822 million yen (approximately PKR 74.0 lakh) and a 6-speed automatic version for 3.92 million yen (approximately PKR 75.9 lac).
Upgrades to the GR86 Models
The ordinary Toyota GR86 receives numerous noticeable improvements in addition to the 40th Anniversary Limited version.
Most significantly, Subaru’s EyeSight driver assistance technology, which was previously available only on automatic cars, is now standard on manual gearbox variants.
