MoU Signing Ceremony For Setting-Up EV Stations Across Pakistan
Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, and a Pakistani delegation attended the signing ceremony in Beijing between TGOOD, a leading Chinese company, and the REC Group of Pakistan.
Moreover, this was done to promote environmentally friendly electric vehicles (EVs) in Pakistan, according to China Economic Net (CEN) on Thursday.
Chairman Senate Remarks on This Development
However, chairman Sanjrani stated on the occasion that this collaboration has resulted in a strategic partnership aligned with China’s sustainable green development initiatives announced during the 3rd Belt and Road Forum.
Moreover, the collaboration includes hydrogen vehicle technology, hydrogen filling station infrastructure, EV production, battery production and recycling solutions, and the development of EV charging infrastructure.
Collaboration With REC Group
However, the collaboration with REC Group in Pakistan is a significant step forward. TGOOD’s commitment to expanding in Pakistan, facilitated by REC Group integrators, is supported by a comprehensive Strategic Partnership Framework Agreement that includes full technology transfer.
TGOOD will lead the development of hydrogen fueling infrastructure in Pakistan, in addition to EVs.
The joint venture intends to investigate regional export opportunities for Pakistani-made goods.
Primary Goal of The Joint Venture
Moreover, the primary goal of the joint venture is to address the catch-22 situation that has stymied Pakistan’s transition to alternative fuels.
The partnership aims to address these challenges and stimulate the development of a sustainable green transportation ecosystem in Pakistan through strategic investments in EV components, charging stations, and export-driven growth.
