To avoid crowding, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has opened a number of the Saudi Grand Mosque’s principal doors and exits to worshippers.
The entrances for the prayer area on the ground level are: 87,88,89,90,91; for the Ajyad Bridge and Salam, 91; for Salam, 74, 84; and for the first floor and roof, Shubaika.
Khalaf Bin Najr Al-Otaibi, the director of worshippers’ grouping management, stated that if the newly opened entrances and exits were full, worshippers would be directed to migrate to the third Saudi expansion’s prayers area and those in the courtyards.
According to him, the department monitors and prepares the prayer spaces for worshipers, works with the appropriate authorities to open the greatest number of prayer spaces at the same time as a significant increase in the number of worshipers during the holy month of Ramadan so that they can comfortably and easily perform the required prayers and the Taraweeh.

To maintain easy access for visitors to the Grand Mosque, the department is also adamant that worshipers refrain from sitting in the primary and secondary walkways leading to the Tawaf (circumambulation) and prayers area.
Al-Otaibi reaffirmed the Presidency’s desire to raise the standard of services offered to Grand Mosque visitors by enhancing them in a way that satisfies the Saudi Arabian leadership’s desire for pilgrims, worshipers, and visitors to be able to complete their rites in comfort.
