Mode Mobility was one of several intriguing electric vehicle (EV)-based prospects on display at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAS) 2022. The aforementioned company is a Karachi-based startup that was among the 150+ exhibitors at the PAS 2022 at the Lahore Expo Centre.
The public saw Mode Mobility’s C-Series 2-Wheeler for the first time at the event. In January 2022, the company revealed the design on Instagram.
Unlike many other electric scooters on the market, Mode Mobility’s C-Series scooters are entirely designed and manufactured in Pakistan.
Despite the fact that the Mode Mobility team insisted that the units on display were early-stage prototypes, the display units gave the impression of high quality and dependability.
The rear wheel is powered by a single electric motor. It can travel up to 75 kilometers per charge and has a cruising speed of up to 75 kilometers. The C-Series scooter has a 1-kilowatt or 2-kilowatt electric motor that is paired with a 2-kilowatt hour battery pack.
Mode Mobility CEO Shah Talha Sohail revealed that, in addition to the C-Series, the company is working on a number of products aimed at different market segments.
The C-Series is primarily aimed at the 125cc segment and is intended to provide women with an alternative mobility option.
Syed Najiullah Hussaini, Co-Founder & CPO, also stated that production will begin early next year, and that the company is currently testing and optimising the product and production processes, establishing the assembly facility, and obtaining regulatory approvals.
The scooters were displayed at PAPS 2022 to gauge market reaction to the C-Series design and specifications. Salman Aftab, Mode Mobility’s Head of Automotive Design shared “the public’s response to our design has been tremendous, it’s almost universally positive and in fact better than we had expected”.
