Nvidia’s current RTX 3000 GPU lineup includes the 3090, which is a beast in terms of both size and performance. Nvidia, on the other hand, is about to release an even more powerful variant called the RTX 3090 Ti, which will become one of the most powerful discrete desktop GPUs in the gaming market.
According to a new report from Videocardz, this monstrous GPU will be available by the end of March. The report includes Nvidia’s internal embargo schedule for the Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti, which indicates an announcement date of March 29. It will be available in stores on the same day.
Since its initial teaser announcement at CES in January, the GPU has been delayed several times.
Many factors contributed to the graphics card’s delay, including memory changes, PCB redesigns, supply issues with the flagship GA102 Ampere GPU die, and others.
Now that all of these issues have been resolved, Nvidia has given the all-clear to its AIB partners, who have been ready to go since January.
Specifications
The RTX 3090 Ti will be Nvidia’s fastest GPU to date. It is built on Samsung’s 8nm chip node, which has more than 28 billion transistors. The flagship GPU will have 84 SM units, which equates to 10,752 CUDA cores.
The card also includes Ray Tracing cores, Tensor cores, and brand-new streaming multi-processor units, which is unsurprising.
The base clock frequency will be 1560 MHz, but the boost clock frequency will be 1860 MHz. The TPD has been increased to 450W, a 100W increase over the Non-Ti version.
You’ll get 24 GB of next-generation GDDR6X memory with speeds of up to 21 Gbps.
It will be the first PCIe Gen 5.0 graphics card with a 16-pin connector capable of delivering 600W of power.
