The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) has issued a warning about the high temperatures that have been reported across Pakistan this week.
According to the Express Tribune, PMD predicted that temperatures would progressively rise across the country this week.
According to the synoptic condition accessible to the department, continental air was prevailing over the majority of the country.
The PMD further stated that most of the country will experience dry weather, with the exception of Upper Sindh and South Punjab, which are likely to be extremely hot on Thursday.
The authority went on to say that the high temperatures will last until the end of the week.
Temperatures have risen across the country in the last 24 hours. The greatest temperatures in the recent 24 hours were 45 degrees Celsius in Jacobabad, Sakrand, Chhor, and Rahim Yar Khan.
Sibbi, Dadu, Tando Jam, Mohenjo Daro, Mithi, Larkana, Padidan, Khanpur, and Bahawalnagar, on the other hand, remained at 44 degrees Celsius.
To protect yourself from the heat wave, stay cool indoors by taking regular cool showers or soaking in a foot bath, or by wetting your hands, face, and back of neck, or by using damp blankets.
Reduce your use of the stove and oven to keep your home at a cooler temperature. Try to keep the house cool at night. Find a cooler location than your home and spend a few hours there if required.
