The first province to get ready to open a cloud acquisition office is Sindh. According to representatives from the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), the provincial cabinet has authorized the cloud policy adoption framework, and the provincial government will set up its cloud acquisition office.
They disclosed that all technical support necessary for the construction of the Cloud Acquisition Office would be offered and that the Ministry is in contact with the provincial administration. Additionally, a representative for the Cloud Office in the federation will be chosen to be Chief Secretary Sindh.
The officials of the ministry said that the Government of Punjab had also created a framework for adopting cloud policies but that it had not been authorized due to political unrest.
In order to prepare the cloud adoption framework, the MoITT also communicates with the governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and other countries.
According to Cloud First Policy, a cloud acquisition office will be set up in the province’s jurisdictions to aid provincial public sector businesses in their migration to the cloud. The Cloud Acquisition Office will assist public service organizations with the design, architecture, procurement, construction, migration, and management of their workloads and applications in the cloud.
