The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to be released soon. It is expected to succeed the Galaxy S23 series, which debuted in February of this year.
Soon after the release of the previous smartphones, speculations and rumors about Samsung’s upcoming flagship series began.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Smartphones Lineup
The new smartphone lineup, like previous ones, is expected to include three models: the base Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
There have been numerous leaks and reports revealing key details about the alleged models.
According to a new report, the lineup may be released sooner than expected.
Expected Launch Date
According to SBS Biz, the Samusng Galaxy S24 series will be unveiled on January 17 2024 at an event in San Francisco, California.
This backs up previous claims that the series would premiere between early and mid-January.
According to the report, Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy S24 earlier than usual because it sees the flagship series as its “saviour” product (translated from Korean) after experiencing lower-than-expected results in its semiconductor business.
In addition, sales of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 were announced at a Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul on July 26.
Competition
It is speculated that the move was influenced by the desire to keep up with its competitor Apple, which recently unveiled its iPhone 15 series.
Notably, the Galaxy S23 series was released this year on February 17, while the Galaxy S22 flagship models were released the year before on February 10, 2022.
With the launch of the Galaxy S24 lineup, the company may be aiming to provide a more competitive race to its market rivals.
Galaxy S23 FE Model
According to the report, the Galaxy S23 FE model will be available in South Korea on December 1 for KRW 800,000.
This will also reportedly attempt to mitigate the effects of sluggish sales of the Galaxy S23 series phones, which were thought to be a result of the country’s general economic downturn.
The mid-range Fan Edition model is expected to boost sales, according to the company.
