The Murree shuttle service, which the Capital Development Authority (CDA) launched, was unable to operate on a regular basis due to a lack of cooperation from the Punjab government, the Murree administration, and the transporters.
According to a report, only two buses were able to leave Islamabad for Murree due to transporter rebellion.
The trip, however, was one-way, as the buses were unable to return to Barakahu, according to the report.
According to the report, the Murree administration attempted to reason with the transporters but failed.
The transporters’ unjustified rebellion became a threat to the buses, passengers, and the general public. Unfortunately, the government remains deafeningly silent.
The CDA introduced a bus service to Murree for Rs. 100, whereas local transporters charged between Rs. 250 and Rs. 300.
They applauded the initiative and urged the Punjab government to direct the Murree administration’s fight against the transporter mafia.
Because of the previous disaster, in which over 23 people died after choking to death while trapped inside their cars, the local administration has issued a high alert for Murree.
Furthermore, the authorities have completed their plans to keep traffic flowing during the winter and have set up snow camps at a number of locations.
In addition, security personnel have been stationed nearby to assist visitors in the event of an emergency.
