In order to effectively manage the sale and use of drugs in and around public and private colleges and universities, Punjab’s Higher Education Department (HED) has made a number of policies.
Teachers and staff members will not be permitted to consume drugs or smoke cigarettes on the grounds of educational institutions, according to the official statement.
The sale of cigarettes and other smoking products will be outlawed at college and university canteens, cafés, and tuck shops. Additionally, the smoking ban will be made public.
All educational institutions, both public and private, will be expected to set up monitoring committees and designate focal points in order to make sure the directives are followed.
