The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in coordination with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), successfully raided an illegal Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Tehsil/City Gambat, District Khairpur Mirs.
PTA and FIA Joint Raid Against Illegal Internet Service Providers
Operational internet infrastructure and related devices were seized during the search. In addition, one person was captured at the site and detained by the FIA for further investigation.
This latest accomplishment in the fight against unauthorized internet service providers demonstrates the telecommunication authority’s dedication, diligent surveillance, and relentless attempts to combat this illegal activity.
Such steps are critical in reducing tax evasion and revenue misreporting, which reduces losses to the national exchequer.
To avoid service interruptions, the telecommunication authority advises the public to take caution and only use telecommunication authority’s licensed telecom carriers.
