Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to China, according to Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Khalid Mansoor, will pave the door for increased investment in CPEC projects.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had highly important discussions with key Chinese businesspeople, according to Khalid Mansoor, speaking to the Chinese state media in Beijing.
China has pledged Pakistan of complete cooperation in the CPEC phase-II projects, according to Khalid Mansoor, who is accompanying Prime Minister Imran Khan on his visit to China.
He stated that the $3.5 billion Metal and Paper Reprocessing Park in Gwadar would be completed in two to three years by the Chinese consortium.
He told the media that the CEOs of major agriculture and textile industries had met with Prime Minister Imran Khan. He stated that Chinese firms were interested in introducing innovation to the agriculture sector as well as improving livestock and oil output.
On 100 acres of land on the Lahore-Kasur Road, he claimed, Chinese companies were interested in investing in the textile sector.
According to Khalid Mansoor, the CPEC phase-II would ‘kick off’ right away, with roughly 20,000 employments created in the textile sector alone in the industrial zone near Lahore.
He said that this industrial park would attract Chinese investment, resulting in $400 million in exports as high-value-added products are manufactured. He went on to say that the CPEC projects from Gwadar would generate a lot of jobs.
