Passport system have resumed across Pakistan following a temporary suspension, bringing a sigh of relief to citizens.
Passport System Went Down Due To a Glitch
The outage, which left citizens in the dark, was blamed on a glitch in the citizen data service.
Perplexed citizens were greeted on screens at Islamabad’s Executive Passport Office by the message, “Citizen data service is available, please check connection with service.”
The halt in passport system exacerbated the already-existing difficulties faced by passport offices dealing with an influx of applicants.
Previous Issues
These offices recently faced a shortage of lamination paper, causing a nationwide halt in the passport printing process.
The situation persisted for a week until sufficient lamination paper was obtained, allowing passport printing operations to resume.
Citizens Now at Peace
Citizens who were experiencing significant difficulties as a result of the temporary halt can now breathe a sigh of relief as passport system have resumed.
This development emphasizes the importance of addressing logistical issues in government services in order to ensure the smooth operation of critical processes for citizens.
