Syed Amin ul Haque, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications, stated on Friday that Prime Minister Imran Khan presented the country with the Digital Pakistan vision. As the special guest at the Pakistan Cloud Summit 2022, the minister stated that the first Cloud Policy issued by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) was the most significant milestone reached by Pakistan.
He stated that efforts were being made to increase connection in order to connect the country to the rest of the world.
Underscoring the importance of exploration and investment in information technology, the minister stated that our goal after reaching the 4G milestone should be 5G.
He asserted that the transformation of the industrial and information technology economies would not only enhance the economy but also create job opportunities.
The MoITT’s performance during the last three years, according to the Minister of Information Technology, has been remarkable. According to him, the MoITT has invested more than Rs. 57 billion in connectivity-related programs.
Dr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput, the Federal Secretary for Information Technology and Telecommunications, said that because the world was moving quickly toward the transformation of IT and IT services, Pakistan’s agrarian economy should move to an IT-based economy.
Later on, the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and Huawei signed a contract to provide cloud services to the IT industry.
