Mustafa Faran Baig, a powerlifter from Pakistan, became the first athlete from his nation to receive the honor when he took home four silver medals at the current Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships in Auckland, New Zealand.
The lone Pakistani competitor at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship is Mustafa Faran Baig. To succeed at the junior level, the young athlete faced out against the best competitors from roughly 43 different nations.
Mustafa Faran Baig, Pakistan’s sole competitor, competed in all four junior-level 110 kg categories. In a breathtaking display of strength, the youthful powerlifter won four silver medals. Mustafa reportedly squatted 250 kg, bench-pressed 135 kg, and deadlifted 225 kg, per information provided by Pakistan Powerlifting Federation.
In addition, the Pakistani powerlifter totaled 640 kg during the competition, earning him his fourth silver medal.
