Following the agreement to raise the federal government’s debt ceiling, Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted that Pakistan would be among a series of countries excluded from accessing US financing through the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
After President Joe Biden and top Republican in Congress Kevin McCarthy reached a tentative agreement to lift the federal government’s $31.4 trillion debt cap, Greene tweeted about it.

The CDC’s primary mission is to reduce the prevalence of disease, damage, and disability in the United States and around the world through surveillance, prevention, and control measures. Greene stated that the CDC’s Global Health Fund, which donates to foreign countries like China, will lose $400 million as a result of the soon-to-be-finalized agreement on the debt ceiling.
