The annual APICTA conference, often known as the OSCARS of the IT sector, aims to improve regional ICT sector cooperation and collaboration, which eventually helps the member economies. The event is likely to increase Pakistan’s exports of IT and IT-enabled services.
In this tremendous event, Pakistan made history by securing 8 Gold and 12 Merit Awards, totaling 20 awards which is the biggest achievement for the whole nation. One of the main reasons behind this success is, Pakistan’s IT exports surged to over $2.6 billion in the closing financial year.
In conjunction with the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), the event has been organized by the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) and TechDestination for IT and ITES.
In a closing ceremony conducted on Sunday, December 11 at the Air University Auditorium, the 26 winning teams were presented and the APICTA Award winners received shields and prize money.
To determine the winners based on live presentations and demonstrations of specialized work, 64 seasoned IT professionals judged various projects of competing organizations.
The whole IT fraternity of Pakistan tried its best to bring APICTA awards to Pakistan since 2014, they did it very well and finally, Pakistan hosted APICTA Awards 2022.
The projects have been developed in a variety of industries, including marketing, services, education technology, health technology, and financial technology.
The occasion provided a lively cultural evening that allowed for the display of the cultural diversity of the nation’s economy all under one roof.
