The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) experts say Eid-ul-Adha will be on Monday, June 17, 2024. They also say we’ll see the moon on June 6 at 5:38 PM.
In Karachi, Pakistan the moon will be 26 hours and 8 minutes old when the sun sets. We can see it for 72 minutes after sunset. The moon needs to be at least 19 hours old for us to see it.
The special Eid-ul-Adha date will be told by a group called the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee very soon. They look at the moon the old-fashioned way to decide when the celebration starts.
The government has decided to give everyone a holiday from June 17 to 19 for Eid-ul-Adha. They’ll officially tell us about it a little before Eid so that everyone can get ready for the happy time.
Debit Card Scam Targets Karachi – Be Careful During Eid
In Karachi, some people had money taken from their bank accounts online. Three customers told their banks about it. They said it involved the Google search engine.
Small amounts of money appeared. Different types of money were used.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) got complaints. The FIA cybercrime unit is looking into it.
Officials said it’s hard to know how many people were tricked. Many people were tricked. In January, a judge from Gujranwala lost money. Internet fraud targeted him.
People called him from a fake bank. They got his information. Fraudsters took Rs. 500,000 from his account. The FIA’s cybercrime wing arrested three men.
