Pakistan’s first match against Bangladesh in the Super 4s stage was a clean and all-around show of dominance. This made it more likely that they would be in the Asia Cup 2023 final. Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets, which was easy for them to do.
Pakistan against Bangladesh
Each match in the Super-4 stage will be important if a team wants to make it to the Asia Cup 2023 final.
This was the first match of the stage, and Bangladesh did not do well in any area. From the second over on, Pakistan was in charge of the game.
Bangladesh only won one thing today, and that was the coin toss.
They chose to bat first, but Naseem Shah and “the EAGLE” Shaheen Shah quickly showed that this was a bad choice. Shaheen’s relationship with the new ball is now well-known, and he got help from the surface.
Pak Vs Bangladesh Scorecard
Bangladesh- 193/10 (38.4)
Pakistan- 194/3 (39.3)
Mahidy Hasan Miraz was the best batter for Bangladesh at the time, but he was out on the first ball. Litton Das threw the bat a few times, but in the 5th over, Shahen got him out.
Haris Rauf joined the group and bowled two players right away. At 47 for 4, Bangladesh was in a lot of trouble.
Shakib’s Half Century
A good 100-run partnership between Bangladesh’s captain Shakib and Mushfiqur helped the team get back on track, but Faheem Ashraf got rid of Shakib, who had scored 50 runs.
Mushfiqur stayed cool until Haris Rauf bowled a great ball in the 38th over to get him out of the ground at 190. Bangladesh’s last three players were only able to add 3 runs to the score, giving Pakistan a 194-run goal.
Bangladesh had a hard time keeping the ball when they only had 194 to defend.
They kept bowling short, tight balls, and their fast bowlers were strong, but the pitch didn’t help them much. Fakhar Zaman’s dry spell kept going, and Babar got a ball that stayed low.
Even though he was close to being LBW a few times, Imam kept falling in love with Lahore.
He had already scored two hundreds and fifty runs there. With only 10 overs left, Pakistan won easily, thanks in large part to Rizwan, who didn’t get out and finished with 63 runs.
