According to the Military Strength Rankings 2023, the Pakistan Army is now the seventh-most powerful force in the world, and has been labeled the world’s emerging military power.
In the Military Strength Rankings for 2020, 2021, and 2022, the Pakistan Army was placed as the 15th, 10th, and 9th most powerful armies in the world, respectively, moving Pakistan up eight positions in just three years.
Since 2006, Global Firepower has published Military Strength Rankings. Each year, it assigns a prospective war-making capability score to each nation’s military.
After accounting for more than 60 variables, it gives each nation a “PowerIndex” score. The country’s fighting prowess is shown by the PowerIndex rating, which is smaller the lower.
Pak Army Global PowerIndex
Pakistan outperforms countries like Japan, France, Italy, Turkey, Brazil, Iran, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Canada with a PowerIndex of 0.1694. The top three positions have once again been held by the US, Russia, and China.
