Yesterday, Oppo announced the Find X5 series of smartphones. The Oppo Pad, the company’s first Android tablet, has now been released.
Design & Display
The metallic frame of the 11-inch LTPS LCD tablet is complemented by a frosted glass back. The screen has a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10 support, and symmetrical bezels.
The tablet is only 6.99mm thick and weighs 507 grams, with a dual-tone finish and Oppo branding in a large typeface. The tablet also comes with the optional Oppo Pencil stylus. The stylus is magnetically attached to the tablet and has a battery life of up to 13 hours.
It is available in two colour options: black and purple. A limited Artist edition has also been released with silver color.
Internals & Storage
The Oppo Pad is powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset and comes with RAM options of 6GB and 8GB, as well as internal storage capacities of 128GB or 256GB.
The ColorOS 12 runs on top of Android 11 on the Oppo Pad. It also has quad speakers and Dolby Atmos support, as well as Hi-Res audio certification.
Multi-screen collaboration has also been added, allowing some Oppo smartphones to quickly transfer files from tablet to phone or vice versa. Phone mirroring is also possible with this feature.
Camera
The front-facing camera has an 8 MP, f/2.0 wide lens, while the back-facing camera has a 13 MP, f/2.2 wide sensor.
Battery & Pricing
The Oppo Pad comes with an 8,300mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
The tablet with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs $363. While the 8GB RAM with 256GB model costs $474.
The tablet will be available in China beginning March 3rd. The company has not yet revealed international pricing or availability information.
