KARACHI, JANUARY 29: The Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI) successfully concluded the 3rd Pakistan Climate Conference, marking a significant milestone with the introduction of the inaugural OICCI Climate Excellence Awards.
A Gathering for Climate Action
The two-day conference brought together key policymakers from federal and provincial governments, climate experts, business leaders, and environmental advocates to foster dialogue and drive sustainable climate initiatives in Pakistan.
Chief Minister Sindh Highlights Climate Challenges
Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, attended as the Chief Guest and commended OICCI’s commitment to addressing the pressing issue of climate change. He emphasized the devastating impact of the 2022 floods and reiterated the Sindh Government’s dedication to rebuilding efforts, including the construction of 2 million homes for flood-affected communities and other climate resilience measures.
The CM praised OICCI for organizing the conference and bringing together national and global experts to explore solutions for reducing carbon emissions and safeguarding lives and property.

For the first time, the OICCI Climate Excellence Awards were introduced to honor businesses making remarkable contributions to climate resilience, sustainability, and green innovation. The awards recognized outstanding efforts across six categories:
