According to the newest reports, Nvidia‘s planned next-gen AD102 GPU, which is likely to be the GeForce RTX 4090 Graphic Card, has reached the testing stage.
Nvidia just announced the $1,999 GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphic card, which features 24GB of GDDR6X memory and a 21GB/s transfer rate.
There is no definitive information or assertions that the AD102 GPU is the RTX 4090 or belongs to the RTX 40-series at this time. Furthermore, according to another rumour, the business may skip the RTX 40-series and rename it as the 50-series.
Nvidia’s next GPU series is expected to debut in the second half of 2022, with some rumours predicting September as the launch month.
With the emergence of a slew of leaks and rumours, Kopite7kimi, a well-known leaker with a track record in the GPU industry, has stated that the AD102 GPU’s testing phase has begun.
If this report is true, mass manufacturing of the dubbed AD102 GPU should not take much longer. We may anticipate Nvidia to make an official announcement before August.
Recently, Kopite7kimi revealed some specs that suggested the AD102 GPU will have 24Gbps memory, and he specifically mentioned the RTX 4090. The Nvidia RTX 4090, on the other hand, will drive memory rates of over 1TB/s thanks to its 24Gbps GDDR6X memory.
According to a source from Wccftech, the AD102 GPU will increase bandwidth by at least 15% above existing technology, making it twice as powerful as the RTX 3090.
Also, a rumour is circulating concerning its energy consumption, claiming that the AD102 GPU would have a TDP of up to 600 watts, making the RTX 4090 a hefty GPU with significant power needs, requiring customers to update their PC power supply to 1,200W or more.
