The highly anticipated MG 4 EV was recently launched, which was a major event in the Indonesian automotive industry.
MG Small Electric Hatchback
This small electric hatchback, also known as the MG Mulan in other countries, offers exciting features to customers in Indonesia.
The MG 4 EV has a sleek design and a modern appearance that makes it stand out on the road. It intends to compete with well-known electric vehicle manufacturers such as Tesla, Volkswagen, and Kia. The 4 EV delivers impressive performance thanks to a powerful electric motor at the rear.
The base model has 170 horsepower and 250 Newton-meters of torque, allowing it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds. The weight distribution of the vehicle aids in stability and handling, enhancing the driving experience.
Surprisingly, this EV is much cheaper in Thailand than in Indonesia. It costs around Rs. 68 lakhs (6.8 million) in Thailand, making it an appealing option for people looking for more affordable environmentally friendly electric cars.
The significant price difference between the two countries has raised questions and sparked interest. The 4 EV has a starting price of Rs. 1 crore 23 lakhs (12.3 million) in Indonesia. This necessitates further investigation and analysis to determine the reasons for the disparity.
