The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) announced a Rs. 3.08 per unit increase in electricity prices due to fuel cost adjustment (FCA) for ex-Wapda distribution companies (DISCOs) on Tuesday.
However, except for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) and Lifeline consumers, the above adjustment will apply to all consumer categories.

Furthermore, the adjustment will show separately on consumers’ bills in the month of October 2023, based on units billed to consumers.
Moreover, the fuel charges adjustment for October 2023 will reflect in the December 2023 billing month by XWDISCOs.
However, it is worth noting that the distribution companies had asked regulator to allow an FCA increase of Rs. 3.53 per unit.
