On Thursday, the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) signed a performance agreement. The addition of new targets in the performance agreement was commemorated with a ceremony at the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The performance agreement was signed by Humaira Ahmed, Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the heads of numerous MoST entities. Senator Shibli Faraz, the Federal Minister for Science and Technology, and Shehzad Arbab, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Establishment, were present at the signing event.
This was the first time a tier-two performance agreement was formed between attached department heads and the Secretary of a Ministry, ensuring ownership and enhanced delivery. The performance agreement currently includes a total of 28 new initiatives.
Rector National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Chairman Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR), Chairman Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), Director General (DG) National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), DG National Institute of Electronics (NIE), DG Pakistan Standards & Quality Control Authority (PSQCA), and DG Pakistan Council of Renewable Energy Technologies (PCRET) were among the eight heads of organizations present at the event.
