Mohammad Rizwan, a talented wicketkeeper and a tremendous batsman, made a record and has become only the second wicketkeeper in Pakistan cricket history to score a century in the fourth innings of a Test match held in National stadium, Karachi.
The first person to accomplish this record was the legendary Moin Khan, who scored an unbeaten 117 against a visiting Sri Lankan team at Jinnah Stadium in Sialkot.
Pakistan were set a target of 357 runs, but despite Moin Khan’s heroics, the home team fell short by 144 runs; no other batter scored 30 or more during the chase.
Mohammad Rizwan, a fan favorite, demonstrated his abilities while chasing a massive 506-run target against Australia.
At 277-4, Rizwan joined Captain Babar Azam at the crease and together they put up a 115-run stand that helped Pakistan earn a famous draw at National Stadium Karachi.
Babar Azam and Faheem Ashraf were bowled in quick succession by Nathan Lyon, who then removed Sajid Khan to add to the pressure.
Mohammad Rizwan stayed unbeaten on 104 runs and was ably assisted by Nauman Ali at the other end.
